App monetization

6 Start.io Alternatives: Other App Networks and SDK Monetization Routes

Explore Start.io alternatives for app monetization. Compare Google AdMob, InMobi, Mintegral and more by product role, setup, payments and fit.

Start.io alternatives should be compared with the publisher SDK historically known as StartApp, not with unrelated audience or advertiser tools. Start with the app's distribution, content, formats and privacy requirements. Another demand partner is useful only if the business and app can pass its independent review and receive payments through a supported route.

What to replace in your Start.io setup

If your motivation is SDK behavior or platform-policy compatibility, review data collection, consent and dependency requirements directly. If it is revenue, keep placement timing and exposure consistent in a network test. Changing the mediator, format and network together makes the result much harder to interpret.

Start.io alternatives by use case

1. Google AdMob: A conventional app demand baseline

AdMob is relevant when your app and account can meet Google policies and verification requirements. Consider network demand separately from adopting its mediation platform. Compare formats and request coverage in your current stack first, and include the time needed for approval and payment setup in the migration plan.

2. InMobi: Another publisher SDK or adapter option

InMobi is a candidate for approved app inventory and supported mediation integrations. Check app-ads.txt, privacy settings and account payments alongside technical setup. Its mobile web product is separate, so use documentation for the exact in-app route you intend to implement.

3. Mintegral: A supported multi-format network

Mintegral is worth considering when the app passes review and current adapters match your placements. Verify format and operating-system support directly. A trial should compare net revenue, fill and SDK behavior under the same ad-frequency limits, rather than only headline eCPM on rendered impressions.

4. Liftoff Monetize: A demand source to test independently

Liftoff Monetize is relevant through its current SDK or supported mediator adapters. Check the Liftoff/Vungle naming in dependencies and account setup. Keep the mediator stable if possible and evaluate actual completion, latency and retention on the ad moments that currently use Start.io.

5. Unity Ads: Demand for supported game and app placements

Unity Ads is a candidate where rewarded, interstitial or banner formats fit your app. Confirm direct or mediated availability for your setup. It should be treated as a demand relationship, not a requirement to move to LevelPlay or an automatic replacement for every Start.io SDK function.

6. Pangle: A market-dependent option

Pangle is worth assessing when its developer-location rules and audience-market support match your business. Check eligibility before integration. Segment the trial by country and format, keeping unfilled traffic visible so a strong result in one market does not obscure a gap elsewhere.

Before switching from Start.io

Record the installed Start.io SDK version, placements and data disclosures before removal. Review the replacement’s collection and consent requirements and update store disclosures where applicable. Test ad callbacks, no-fill paths and crash behavior in a staged release, while preserving old payment-account access until the final balance is reconciled.

Every network can require its own app approval, privacy configuration and payment verification. A mediation account does not automatically approve the sources connected to it.

How to judge the result

Compare net ad ARPDAU, request coverage, fill, rendered-impression eCPM and impressions per user by OS, country and format. Include load latency, crashes and retention. A higher eCPM on fewer filled requests is not by itself a better monetization result.

We have not verified a controlled revenue benchmark or a comparable approval-rate dataset for this shortlist. The setup labels are editorial estimates, and all account-specific terms should be checked with the provider. The table links to official references and full profiles so you can confirm the details that apply to your business.

Which option should you shortlist?

Choose among the six based on supported formats, business eligibility and the integration you can maintain. A new SDK is not a substitute for reviewing privacy requirements or for testing the app’s actual audience and ad experience.

Use the app platform directory to check the wider catalog, or open the Start.io profile to revisit the baseline requirements. This guide uses the existing directory research compiled November 3, 2026; it does not claim a fresh independent review of every provider policy.
