A MAX alternative should first replace the mediation work: operating bidding and waterfalls, configuring networks and interpreting reports. A network that supplies ads does not take over that role just because it has an SDK. The current catalog offers AdMob and Unity LevelPlay as the closest mediation comparisons; the other candidates below represent demand strategies with a smaller scope.

What to replace in your AppLovin MAX setup
If your difficulty is with one connected network, replacing that partner may be less work than migrating the mediator. If the MAX workflow itself is the problem, assess SDK compatibility, reporting and account reconciliation for a complete move. Keep the AppLovin company’s advertiser products separate from the MAX publisher product.
AppLovin MAX alternatives by use case
1. Google AdMob: Google mediation and its own demand
AdMob is a direct candidate for the mediation role and also supplies Google advertising demand. That combination still requires review and configuration. Check the supported adapters and bidding relationships for your chosen formats, and confirm account and policy eligibility before treating it as a ready-made replacement for the whole MAX stack.

2. Unity LevelPlay: A comparable multi-network mediation function
LevelPlay is the other close mediation comparison in this directory. Evaluate its configuration, diagnostics and current engine support for your app. Connected sources can require separate accounts and payment details, so compare the actual operational process rather than assume one mediator means one approval or one payer.

3. Unity Ads: Demand for a simpler or differently mediated setup
Unity Ads is relevant if you want to use supported Unity demand directly or through another mediator. It is not a MAX equivalent. Choosing a single network can reduce some configuration work but also changes demand diversity and reporting, so make that tradeoff explicit before removing the existing mediation layer.

4. Liftoff Monetize: A demand partner rather than a mediator
Liftoff Monetize is worth considering when the change concerns the advertising sources in your app. Confirm the current SDK or adapter route for the stack you select. You still need a mediator if the objective is to run several partners, and each network’s account and settlement conditions remain separate.

5. Mintegral: A network to evaluate during a demand review
Mintegral provides a candidate demand relationship for a supported integration. It can be relevant while simplifying or reworking the stack, but it does not replace MAX’s network-management role. Test its contribution on matched placements and verify the account, privacy and payment setup before rollout.

6. Meta Audience Network: Bidding demand with its own review
Meta Audience Network is relevant where an eligible business and app can use a supported bidding integration. Check business assets, monetization eligibility and partner compatibility. It is an additional demand source, not a standalone substitute for the mediation workflow, and Meta advertiser campaigns are a different product.

Before switching from AppLovin MAX
Export placement mapping, bidder configuration and reporting before migrating. Check adapter versions, SDK initialization order and consent behavior in the replacement stack. Reconcile AppLovin demand and third-party partner payments separately. Test both successful ad delivery and no-fill paths so a seemingly working integration does not hide broken reward callbacks or retention problems.
Every network can require its own app approval, privacy configuration and payment verification. A mediation account does not automatically approve the sources connected to it.
How to judge the result
Compare net ad ARPDAU, request coverage, fill, rendered-impression eCPM and impressions per user by OS, country and format. Include load latency, crashes and retention. A higher eCPM on fewer filled requests is not by itself a better monetization result.
We have not verified a controlled revenue benchmark or a comparable approval-rate dataset for this shortlist. The setup labels are editorial estimates, and all account-specific terms should be checked with the provider. The table links to official references and full profiles so you can confirm the details that apply to your business.
Which option should you shortlist?
Start with AdMob or LevelPlay if the mediator must change. Consider the other four only when rethinking demand sources or deliberately moving to a simpler network model. There is no basis here for a universal claim that another stack will pay more.
Use the app platform directory to check the wider catalog, or open the AppLovin MAX profile to revisit the baseline requirements. This guide uses the existing directory research compiled November 3, 2026; it does not claim a fresh independent review of every provider policy.
