6 Amazon Publisher Services Alternatives: Other In-App Bidding and Mediation Paths

Explore Amazon Publisher Services alternatives for app monetization. Compare AppLovin MAX, Unity LevelPlay, Google AdMob and more by product role, setup, payments and fit.

An Amazon Publisher Services app alternative should be compared with the exact APS mobile product and supported integration you use. APS web TAM and UAM descriptions do not automatically describe app SDK access, contracts or payments. The replacement might be another bidding service, a mediator, or a network that supplies one part of demand.

What to replace in your Amazon Publisher Services setup

Map the role of APS in the app’s current auction before choosing a replacement. If the requirement is access to multiple sources, a mediator can be relevant but changes operational scope. If you only want another approved bidder, moving the entire stack may create work without addressing the underlying issue.

Amazon Publisher Services alternatives by use case

1. AppLovin MAX: A mediation architecture to compare

MAX is relevant when you want to manage several networks through bidding and waterfall configuration. It is a broader operating model, not a replacement for all Amazon demand or APS contracts. Confirm source integrations, app approvals and payment responsibility independently of access to the mediator.

2. Unity LevelPlay: Another multi-network mediation route

LevelPlay is a candidate when network orchestration is part of the desired change. Review current SDK and engine support for your placements, and distinguish its mediation role from Unity Ads and iSX. The connected sources can still require individual agreements, credentials and payment setup.

3. Google AdMob: Google demand plus optional mediation

AdMob is worth considering if your app and business can meet Google review and verification requirements. Choose between a scoped demand integration and a wider mediation change. Keep placement definitions consistent so the result does not reflect different ad frequency or a new auction arrangement alone.

4. Smaato / Verve Brand+: Exchange demand in a supported stack

Smaato / Verve Brand+ is relevant for reviewed app inventory through its current SDK or supported mediation integrations. Confirm onboarding and auction support directly. It addresses a programmatic demand relationship, not necessarily every marketplace or integration function provided by your APS product.

5. DT Exchange: Another in-app exchange conversation

DT Exchange is a candidate for publishers evaluating programmatic app supply through an approved partner route. It is distinct from DT FairBid mediation. Compare contract, SDK and settlement arrangements for the exchange itself rather than assume the older Fyber name or another DT product describes your replacement.

6. Moloco SDK: Publisher bidding demand through a supported mediator

Moloco SDK is relevant where publisher access and the required integration are available. Confirm credentials, formats and account eligibility before development. It supplies Moloco publisher demand and should not be confused with a complete mediation service or the advertiser-facing campaign platform.

Before switching from Amazon Publisher Services

Record the APS mobile product, placement identifiers, bidding path and connected contract obligations. Verify which party owns reporting and final settlement. Check replacement account access before changing the SDK, then test consent forwarding, auction timeouts and ad callbacks in a staged release with per-partner revenue reconciliation.

Every network can require its own app approval, privacy configuration and payment verification. A mediation account does not automatically approve the sources connected to it.

How to judge the result

Compare net ad ARPDAU, request coverage, fill, rendered-impression eCPM and impressions per user by OS, country and format. Include load latency, crashes and retention. A higher eCPM on fewer filled requests is not by itself a better monetization result.

We have not verified a controlled revenue benchmark or a comparable approval-rate dataset for this shortlist. The setup labels are editorial estimates, and all account-specific terms should be checked with the provider. The table links to official references and full profiles so you can confirm the details that apply to your business.

Which option should you shortlist?

MAX, LevelPlay and AdMob help evaluate mediation architecture. Verve, DT Exchange and Moloco are demand-level candidates with different scopes. Confirm the APS app product first so the comparison does not accidentally use web marketplace assumptions.
