Setupad alternatives depend on which Setupad product you are replacing. A publisher using a managed service has different responsibilities from one operating a self-service header-bidding stack and its own SSP relationships. Specify the current arrangement before comparing fees, support or access to demand. Otherwise a flat technology charge can be confused with the price of full ad operations.

What to replace in your Setupad setup
Decide whether you want to retain direct partner contracts and control, or transfer more work to a managed provider. Include ad serving, consent management, demand reconciliation and staff time in the comparison. A direct network may simplify the stack, but it does not reproduce a multi-partner auction.
Setupad alternatives by use case
1. AdPushup: A partner focused on layouts and optimization
AdPushup is relevant when your goal is help testing placements and operating programmatic demand. Ask how its proposal handles ad serving and experimentation. Compare the offered service scope with your actual Setupad plan, rather than assume every optimization service includes the same demand relationships or technical ownership.

2. Publift: Managed programmatic operations
Publift is a candidate when you want a team to manage more of the stack through its Fuse offering. Confirm the exact product and the traffic review. The tradeoff may be less work on partner operations in exchange for a different contract and level of direct configuration control.

3. Sovrn: Exchange demand rather than a complete service replacement
Sovrn is worth evaluating if you are mainly replacing or adding programmatic demand. Its advertising product is separate from Sovrn Commerce. Confirm the supported web integration and settlement model; a demand relationship may complement your stack without replacing Setupad’s technology or ad operations work.

4. Amazon Publisher Services for Web: A server-side bidding alternative to investigate
APS web products provide a different bidding and marketplace route. Identify whether TAM or UAM is available for your inventory. Their contracting and payment arrangements differ, and UAM access is restricted, so APS should not be treated as one universally available managed-service replacement.

5. Newor Media: A reviewed partner for display and video
Newor Media is relevant when you want programmatic demand and operational help under a publisher partnership. Ask how placements and demand relationships would be managed. Compare net commercial terms and the work left with your team against the particular Setupad model you currently use.

6. Adsterra: A simpler direct-network experiment
Adsterra is a candidate for selected direct-network placements if you deliberately want a different stack. It does not replace a header-bidding wrapper or all existing SSP relationships. Start with a supported format and account for the loss of any auction, reporting or operations capabilities you still need.

Before switching from Setupad
Inventory your SSP contracts, ad server, wrapper configuration, consent integration and ads.txt records. Check which credentials and accounts belong to you. Plan changes by component, retaining required demand access until the replacement is verified. Compare fees on the same revenue denominator, including serving and partner costs, before terminating a technology or management agreement.
Switching providers does not bypass Google publisher policies when the new partner also uses Google demand. Fix content or invalid-traffic issues before applying.
How to judge the result
Compare net page RPM and session revenue by country and device, with the same page templates and similar ad density. Check viewability, fill and page performance too. Account for fees, the payout threshold in your payment method and the delay before revenue becomes payable.
We have not verified a controlled revenue benchmark or a comparable approval-rate dataset for this shortlist. The setup labels are editorial estimates, and all account-specific terms should be checked with the provider. The table links to official references and full profiles so you can confirm the details that apply to your business.
Which option should you shortlist?
Choose AdPushup, Publift or Newor Media for a managed-service discussion. Sovrn and APS are more relevant to demand and bidding architecture. Adsterra is a separate direct-network option for inventory that supports its formats.
